The Map Oracle (Sharing a couple more)

If you are noticing the line on the left that is actually not on the cards, it is my crummy scanner. I think this deck is pretty cool and you can't beat the price. I think they would make a great gift for someone new to oracle decks.

Work in Progress

Again some tweeking on these need to be done. A bit to plain for my taste. So after some tweeking the end result is below.

Well I like grungy edges. You will notice that on my pages and labels. I still might have to tweek the page but for now I am on to something else.

Change is Good

Sometimes you need to see something alone and without distraction to see what you could not see before. That can go for your thoughts and your work. I realized after posting I dont like the background. It fights with the label. I did not notice how badly it clashed when I was working on it. I guess you need to walk away, take a deep breath and look at it with new eyes. You just have to be willing to be open.

Wishes & Butterfly's

It is hard to just pick one idea. As you see I simply can't so I just do what I like. That is what is fun about digital art and doing something you enjoy. I have no one to answer to or explain why I did what I did. Sometimes when I put things together I have no idea what the end result will be. It is pretty much a big surprise at the end. You either like it or you don't and if you don't then maybe next time. No use getting hung up in the end result before you start. That is what kept me from starting in the first place. It took me two years to get up the nerve to start digitally scraping. What a waste of two years. All because I was afraid it was going to look horrible and that I would suck. So what if I do? So what if you do? Go for something you have fear of doing. Might surprise yourself.

The Map Oracles - a few more to share

It is always kind of nice if someone wants to share a few cards from a deck I might be interested in buying but not 100% sold on. Here are a few more that might sway you one way or another. I have no regrets buying this deck. Each morning I pull a card. They for the most part are not negative but more thought provoking. I like that for a morning draw.

Just around the corner

Getting close to Halloween and Dia Del Los Muertos. Just bringing back in an oldie from archives.

Dont Start

I believe I heard this quote from Dorothy Morrison. She has an interesting book called Utterly Wicked. That is such a great title I think I need to a card with that on it. I think this could be my new favorite saying.

Labels Part IV

Making labels is so much fun. I have more ideas than time to make them all.

The Map Oracles-the real ones

I just received my new oracle deck by Colette Baron Reid. I had this on wait list for months and they are finally here!! It is a nice deck and worth the wait. The book is also excellent as well. The artwork is very nice but I wish the images were a bit bigger on a few of the cards but I feel that way about several of my favorite decks. Of all my oracle decks this is my second favorite (behind Ciro's oracle deck). What more is there to say, Ciro's decks tarot and oracle hold a special place in my heart.
If you like oracle decks, I don't think you would be disappointed with this one. I have been enjoying pulling a card  from the deck the past two mornings. I hope to make it a morning ritual with this deck. If you are interested in the deck you might also be interested in the book with the same name (from where these cards were born).

One of my favorite cards since I have been de-cluttering my life for how long now?

Labels Part III

I will probably tweek on these a bit more. I think they need a grunge edging.

Too much fun with fonts again.
