Happy Halloween

I was playing around with different fonts for this card. After I picked out the alpha style I then designed the background. I could not make up my mind which one I liked best. But then again why do I have too?

If only I had a copy to this book. Would I ignore the wisdom and still do my own thing? I want to think I hoped not but we all have free will and all seem to like to learn the hard way. This book might end up on a dusty shelf never being read. Sad but true.

Happy Wabbit

There has been a new edition to the Tarot deck by some illustrators and authors called the Happy Squirrel card, Hatched from a Simpson show where Lisa gets married and goes to see a Fortune Teller. Well I love the concept of the Happy Squirrel card and decided to have my own card called the Happy Wabbit. But he is known by many names. The Trickster Wabbit, Magical Wabbit and Silly Wabbit. He is popping up everywhere in the cards. He just can't help himself it seems. Oh well, he is pretty cute so what the heck. Who knows when and where he will be popping up next.

Tarot Business Cards

I have been designing a variety of Tarot business cards. I am sharing a few more. I will have a variety done and then randomly slip a card in my Tarot Pouches. Being able to print these out at the copy store makes this so fun. I am able to do a variety this way.

More Crows

I have an all new respect for Crows after watching Nature on PBS last Sunday. I like the bird before but gained a whole new respect for them after this wonderful program. These black birds are rather brilliant. My new banner had to include my favorite bird. I have always been crazy about the Cocatoo with their terrific headsets and intellegent antics but the crow might be even more intelligent. These photos will be included as my new tarot business cards. I have been designing many new business cards to include in my Tarot Clutches. The clutches are still in progress as I type but they are coming together nicely. Since they are all handmade they do take time. Hopefully in the next few days they will be ready to list.

Word Art

I love fonts and scrap alphas. They are time consuming to put together but I really like the end results. These three cards were some of the first I had ever tried designing. Each letter has to be put on the page individually and then sized to fit. Once the alpha is the way you like then you start to add all the other embellishments.

Fun Cards II

This is what I have been trying to do in my life as of late. Watching Hoarders is a great way to get off one's rear end and start de-cluttering one's life. I have perged maybe half of what I had and yet it would be great to get rid of more. I have had many garage sales the last few years and plan on doing some Ebay for the Holdays. I look at all the things I had and wondered why I thought I needed them. I am very careful about buying knick knacks now. For every one thing I buy I must rid myself of two.

An enjoyable card to make. I really like making Goddess cards.

New Etsy Shop- The Pink Broomstick

I am going to open an Etsy shop called "The Pink Broomstick". I am selling crocheted Tarot Pouches to put your tarot or Oracle cards in. These make nice travel pouches if you are one who takes their decks everywhere. They will be made in such a way that they will roll open and you can then lay your cards out on the crochet piece. I did not invent this idea but found them on a lovely tarot site. These pouches are no longer being made. I love this idea better than the simple pouch or box. I dont know how she made hers but I am doing my own thing in making mine. I am crocheting them in a variety of sizes and colors. I will be adding bits of embellishments to the pouches to make each one unique. The nice part about the yard is it will not scratch your cards.
Below is my Etsy logo for the new shop. I found this logo actually on Etsy by a very creative lady and not only did I love her design but I loved the name and asked her if I could use it. She generously said yes. I thought it fit the theme of my shop so well. Coming soon will be some pics of the pouches and the fun tarot size business cards I have been making for the Pink Broomstick.
No new cards in the past couple days. I have been crocheting like a mad woman. I once crocheted shawls and afghans and forgot how much I enjoyed the rhythms of the process.

Three of Wands

Got a bit carried away with the the Three of Wands. I guess I didn't realize how many I was doing. All the cards do have a water aspect to them. They were a blast to create. Some cards just come easier than others.

I enjoyed the color scheme of this card. I like the hues.

This card has the most stuff in it. I really enjoyed the challenge of her. Notice the ship in the bottle at her feet. I love the ocean anyway so all these cards were so fun and relaxing to design.

Three of Cups

This makes me want drinks with my girlfriends. Cosmo's anyone?

This was a fun card to design. The mermaids get to watch the fish frolic for a change.

 Toasting to the Goddess.

A more subtle cups card.

I like this card best. What is more loving then having a tea party with children. Cup of tea anyone?

Card Backs or Moon Cards

The moon card is really fun to design. I have so many moon cards I liked these for card backs. But they would not work well for reading reversals.
