Changing the subject today. I love Lorie Davison Kits. She is an amazing digital artist. I think you could come up with thousands of ideas for her kits.

In this image I aged it, framed it and I had to give him a crow. This image is so fun to work with by Wierd Tales I could just keep putting him in different scenerios but for now I will move on to the next image.

I really like Steampunk although I am not really good at figuring out how to incorporate it into my images yet. I will keep working on it.

Hangman II Revised

I realized after looking at the first edition that some of the web was cut off and it bothered me. So I decided to shrink it down a bit and add a grungy overlay to it. I did two different grungy overlays since as usual I couldn't make up my mind. It gives them a bit of a creepier or aged look I think. I am going to start using more grungy overlays to my work now. I love them!!

Here she is again in her final scene for the week. She is on stage in her final act of her play. Again notice I changed her a bit. One thing that never changes, she is never to far from spiders and spider webs. So far I ony have her in three cards but she will pop again one of these days. How can she not? This little actress is pegged for stardom.

My second card using the same main charactor. I sometimes or should I say often use the same charactors in my digital cards.  They talk to me in different scenarios and so I just have to go with it. Today she is in a web of zentangle.

Hangman or Hangwoman #1

I was on Etsy the other day and came across this beautiful page of digital art from a great lady who has an amazing shop called Wierd Tales. I really like her work and bought her digital collage pages to use some of her images in my tarot cards.  Her work screams "Use me in your tarot cards!" So I couldn't argue with that and I will be showing many of the cards I did throughout the weeks and months.  I am starting with this little goth lady who begged to be my Hangman. I changed her up a bit of course because I can never leave anything alone! I will be sharing her in different Hangman scenes this week. She is the actress of these cards, my new character as if I was writing a novel.

The Star Card - Some Mo Tarot

Every night as she blows kisses into the sky, her kisses turn to stars in the night. Thank our lucky star Goddess for her. As I go out in the evenings and look for my moon and gaze at all the beautiful stars, she gives me pause and something more to be thankful for.

I was working on this card feeling as if it was going nowhere. I kept thinking about how birds are always pooping on beautiful statues. (Kind of the same way they take target on your car.) And then it hit me. I feel like this sometimes. I am going along trying to beat to my own drum, do my thing and then my arm falls asleep, I fall off my shoes and that damn squawking bird is in my ear repeating over and over "Who do you think you are Mz. Fancypants?" That silly bird might as well poop on my head. So here is my question for the day:
How do you play your music when you have no arms and a bird is about to crap on your head?

She dreams of moons and stars and never ending possibilities. All the while the snake is lurking in her shadow. Ever feel like there is always someone lurking in your shadow? Seemingly trying to sabotage your every move? Sometimes that shadow saboteur is you. Try getting out of your own way today.

Who's the Fool?

I wonder if the Fool in the tarot is kind of like falling down the rabbit hole? A big leap of faith. Hopefully you finally reach the bottom and don't get to injured from the fall. Maybe others see it as hitting rock bottom.

If you are interested in this concept I am going to recommend a  movie to rent. If you have a curiosity about that rabbit hole besides Alice in Wonderland, check out "What the Bleep..?" I really liked this movie. It is part movie with actress Marly Matlin and part documentary interview style with some very interesting scientists. I am warning you though, these people think way outside the box. So it is a movie you have to pay attention too when watching. You can't be doing your laundry, texting and watching your children and get anything out of it. I rented it from my local video store for .50. So I rent it every once in a while and watch it again. If you are in the mood for a trip down the rabbit hole, give yourself an odd movie experience and rent it.
